Next Generation Pastor

Ready to Go Make Disciples here @ First then there?

First Baptist Bethalto, IL is searching for a Next Generation Pastor to lead our babies to high school students in our church and community. Our church family averages 300-350 people on Sundays with 75-85 of those being students/kids. Since December 2020, we have seen over 300 people saved, 120 people baptized, 125 people join our church family, and 86 of our own people lead others to saving faith in Christ!!! As we are rapidly growing, we need a Next Generation Pastor to tap into our relationships we have inside our church (coaches, teachers, school administrators, etc.) and our community to Make Disciples here @ First then there.  Qualifications:

- A man of God that meets the qualifications for the office of a Pastor as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9.

- A man of God that upholds and agrees to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

- A man of God that’s involved with our kids, students, families, local schools, and community.

- A man of God that’s fun, energetic, outgoing, and gospel-footed.

- A man of God who is a Proven Leader and Proven Gatherer.

- A man of God that is working to complete or has completed a bachelor’s degree.

- A man of God with 1-3 years ministry experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Student Ministry (80-85 % of time)
   1. Oversee our Elevate Student Ministry (sixth grade to high school students)
   2. Evaluate and develop a student program for our Students and our Community.
   3. Plan, promote and lead students to a yearly student camp.
   4. Work with student ministry teams and volunteers towards Gathering students to a saving relationship with Christ, Growing them as a disciple to Go make more disciples.
   5. Plan and lead student activities that include fun, fellowship and missions.
   6. Visit Students at their homes, school, hospitals, sporting events, etc as needed.
   7. Develop and maintain relationships in our local school districts.

1. Children’s Ministry (15-20% of time)
   1. Oversee our Seeds and Sprouts Ministry in our church (babies to fifth grade).
   2. Evaluate our current children’s programs and determine, develop, and provide focus on teaching our Sprouts and Seeds Ministry about the importance of a saving relationship with Christ and growing that Next Generation as a disciple to Go make more disciples.
   3. Provide training and counseling to families in our Next Generation Department.

Salary: $45,000 to $50,000 plus benefits, including health insurance.
