FCOC Job Description, Music Minister

Faith Christian Outreach Church is a healthy, growing church in Mount Pleasant, IA located in Southeast Iowa, 40 minutes from Iowa City, home of the Iowa Hawkeyes, and 20 minutes from the great Mississippi River.

 We have a satellite church in Fairfield, IA and are planning to plant others.  This person would:

-First and foremost, lead by example and model the life of a worshipper who delights in the Lord and enters His presence with confidence and humility through Christ.

- Grounded in God’s Word, filled with the Holy Spirit, worshiping in Spirit and in truth.

- Gifted vocally and instrumentally, aware of the anointing that draws others into worship.

- Hard worker, committed to excellence with ability to develop others vocally, instrumentally, creatively and produce and direct teams, recruit and discipline new people.

-Love contemporary worship music and appreciate traditional hymns to use from time to time.

-Enjoy the logistics of planning the weekly services, special service (Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Conferences) that incorporates a variety of elements that engage and foster and enhance worship.

-Able to develop and oversee all aspects of Worship Ministry (music, production, creative, administration)

-Able to work with a team of pastors and lead your own team in the vision of Faith Christian Outreach Church.

Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 3yrs working in and leading worship
• Have some bible school training / Part time or Full time minister experience.
• Clear call of God to ministry.
• A servant-leader who loves Jesus and people.
• Driven, self-starter with a passion to see church and ministry grow.
• Proven record of recruiting, auditioning and developing others.

Additionally, this position would lead other ministry in the church. (ie: prayer, college age, social media, graphics) according to the applicants gifting, experience and mutual agreement at time of hiring.

Position: Full-time                                Salary:    40K
