The Director of Development in the NE or MidWest Region is a key position charged with strengthening and deepening relationships with ministry partners to achieve planned revenue goals while actively seeking to identify, cultivate, solicit and the stewardship of new partners, including individuals, foundations and corporations. Analyze and manage a portfolio of existing ministry partners in assigned region. Develop and implement stewardship strategies through National Board Members, PF Management, Campaign Volunteers, PF Field staff and personal visitation. Also work with Planned Giving and Foundations staff to identify new prospective ministry partners and achieve lift from existing ones. Develop solutions unique to the ministry partner, based on giving history, interests, personal/financial needs, affinities, and PF ’s overall strategy. Involve ministry partners and prospects in work of the ministry as volunteer, prison visitor, Angel Tree advocate, ambassador with others who are like-minded, etc. Complete administrative tasks necessary to achieve goals and keep accurate records, including updating NGOC database. Provide organized and detailed staffing on all personal calls. This includes securing appointments, preparing visitation briefings, leading staff or volunteers on calls, drafting correspondence, maintaining file records, developing funding proposals, and providing staff follow up on all details of a solicitation. Work with Development team and Regional Directors to ensure ministry partners attendance at all strategic events in the region, as well as conducting two events in the territory per year.

Skills & Requirements
10+ years' development, consultative sales, or related experience with increasing responsibility for revenue generation. Demonstrated effectiveness at personally raising $1M+ donations.
Demonstrated effectiveness in managing others and working with volunteers to solicit contributions of $50,000+.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience. Prefer:
Advanced degree or CFRE.
Knowledge Areas: Experience cultivating clients in seeking large ticket contracts (in business) or large gifts (in non-profits). Experience in Christian Outreach, developing relationships with High Net Worth Individuals, proven ministry to underserved communities. Planned giving, relevant tax law, budgeting and finance principles.
Intermediate Outlook, Windows, PowerPoint and Excel skills. Advanced knowledge and skills in using fund-raising databases.
Excellent communication, verbal, written, and listening. Excellent presentation skills. Experience with social media.
Mature Christian in agreement with PF's Mission, Vision, Values, Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and delegate effectively. Highly disciplined and self-starting in prioritizing workload and managing time. Demonstrates professionalism; ability to bring wise discernment as role of ambassador for PF. Ability to quickly gain understanding of organization’s structure and culture. Ability to appropriately handle confidential information. Flexibility in dealing with donors from several different cultural backgrounds (snowbirds, urban, rural and suburban professionals).
Satisfactory driving record and valid drivers license - 40% travel required.
