The Lamb of God School - Headmaster

 

The ideal candidate for the position will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field, although a master's degree is preferable. The successful candidate for the position of Headmaster will be marked by the following skills and experiences:

 

Necessary Experience/Skills:

• A servant leader who diligently and graciously leads with a pastor’s heart and hands.
• A visionary with an eye and giftings for advancing the mission of the school, and individual student growth.
• A strong grasp and foundational knowledge of the Scriptures.
• Demonstrates an ability to relate and communicate Scripture to diverse audiences comprised of Elementary and Middle School students, faculty, and parents.
• A demonstrated history of effectiveness and success in a leadership role at a Christian school, ministry, or other similar setting.
• An experienced leader, developer, and mentor of staff.
• Possesses excellent communication skills in both a verbal and written context, with the ability to articulate information in a clear and concise manner to both adults and children.
• Demonstrates desire and ability to work with faculty, parents, and a diverse population of learners.
• Demonstrates an understanding and desire to support the religious traditions of all students, faculty and parents from diverse Christian backgrounds.
• Demonstrates an understanding of both the development and expansion of brand identity through social media strategies and other means.

 

 Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Proven success working with large-scale fund raising efforts and a history of donor development.
• Expertise in child growth and adolescent development.

NOTE: Following the retirement of the current Principal in 2017, and leading up to the anticipated succession of the newly appointed Principal, the Headmaster may additionally fulfill the role of Principal for a definitive period of time, so as to support this smooth transition of leadership.
