SALES MANAGER
Direct and oversee the local advertising sales team for Salem Media Group in Washington, DC, including WAVA AM/FM and AM 1260 Radio. WAVA is one of the top performing and most listened to Christian Talk stations in the nation. AM 1260 THE ANSWER has a unique conservative talk niche in the DC market. Our broadcast media is enhanced be a strong NTR component, including events and digital assets: web displays, video, e-blasts, social media and mobile. Key to this position is the ability to energetically and creatively lead a sales team of 7. Qualified candidates must be able to recruit, train and motivate exceptional talent, towards the end goal of exceeding station financial/budget goals.

For consideration, candidates will have a track record of at least five years combining successful broadcast and digital sales and sales management. Knowledge of conceptual local direct selling is essential, as is an understanding of the Christian culture and its leadership, issues and concerns. A track record in lead-by-example sales management and the ability to close and retain new accounts is essential.
We are seeking a strong sales mentor/coach, good at teaching sales reps to consult and sell to a diversity of business owners and ministry leaders. Must be positive, well-spoken and high energy.
