Job Title: Typesetter and Web Designer

Job Location: Fort Washington, PA

Reports to: Publisher

Primary Responsibility:

 

Create interior layouts for all CLC books and design and maintain websites for the ministry.

 

Duties:

 

  • Work with editorial team to create interior layouts for all CLC books using Adobe InDesign
  • Convert text into correct digital formats for e-book platforms
  • Load e-books onto various platforms
  • Create pdfs to be sent to the printer
  • Maintain database of text and digital files on all CLC books
  • Work with printers to ensure that correct files are used for all projects
  • Insert text changes made by the editorial team
  • Design new website for CLC USA
  • Work with sales team to choose and implement a new e-commerce platform and website
  • Maintain and update all CLC websites on a regular basis
  • Create web banners for use on various websites
  • Work closely with Sales Coordinator to provide digital content as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 Qualifications:

 

Education/Certification:  Associate’s degree required in a relevant subject such as Web Design or                                                             Graphic Arts. 

Experience Required:  3-5 year experience with Web Design and or Book Layout/ Typesetting. 

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Working knowledge and experience with HTML, PHP, SQL,  JavaScript, and Wordpress
  • Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign and Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Team oriented, goal driven, and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to take input from multiple sources and synthesize data
  • Accepts feedback willingly and adapts accordingly
  • Graphic Design ability
