We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for serving church and ministry leaders and who can provide excellent content support for our media brands at Salem Church Products (SCP), a subsidiary of Salem Communications, in our Richmond, VA office. Our perfect candidate has excellent communication skills and is detail-oriented with proven time management skills. Our future teammate also possesses a well-rounded knowledge of the web, the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment, and creative problem solving skills. There are three key job responsibilities: video encoding and uploading, technical troubleshooting, and website content management. The ideal candidate will also have experience in video and media production.
The Content Services Representative will assist SCP in uploading media and maintaining content on SCP Media Sites. They will work with the Director of WorshipHouse Media & SermonSpice to prioritize and execute content strategy related to new and existing products submitted by media partners, stay current on best practices and methods for encoding and uploading content, as well as maintain a working knowledge of how churches use media. They will also manage existing content, including but not limited to: adding keywords, adjusting backend database settings, troubleshooting and fixing products. If applicable, the Content Services Representative will also oversee the production of various in-house video projects and executing distribution strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Experience in website management and/or video production
- Willingness to learn and study industry news and developments
- Working knowledge of Mac OS, standard web tools, and digital video formats
