Vice President of Development

Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) is a multifaceted rescue mission serving all of Knox County for nearly 55 years. The ministry intends to increase its impact on the community, which requires an increase in fundraising and visibility. With that in mind, KARM is seeking its next Vice President of Development (VP-Development) who will provide dynamic leadership and direction to resource development and fundraising efforts in support of its mission.

The new VP-Development will be committed to providing strong leadership based on his/her knowledge and understanding of fundraising concepts, tools and approaches.  Under his/her leadership, a strategic resource development/fundraising plan will be established, incorporating all facets of fundraising to ensure revenues are available to meet the financial needs of the organization today and in the future. 

To meet these needs, the principal responsibility of the incoming VP-Development will be to ensure a strong, comprehensive strategy is in place and focused on a robust major giving program.

A unique opportunity awaits the right individual with leadership, vision and proven skills in development to build and implement a comprehensive, sustainable fundraising program at KARM. The VP-Development serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting KARM.  While reporting to the President/CEO, this position is responsible for all fundraising and development activities.
